Standard Procedures – Hotel Room Cleaning
The cleaning process for routine cleaning follows a precisely structured cleaning procedure.
Only by exercising this level of meticulous care when cleaning hotel rooms can we guarantee a perfect result for the guest. The process generally includes the following standardized steps:
Step 1: Preparation & Ventilation
Check in through the system, turn on the lights (check for any malfunctions), take out the trash, remove the dirty laundry, and take it directly out of the room. Open the windows to let fresh air in.
Step 2: The Bathroom (Let It Soak In)
Apply bathroom cleaner to the toilet, shower, and sink so that it can sit and work while the room is being cleaned. Pre-clean mirrors and glass surfaces.
Step 3: The Bedroom & Making the Beds
Put on fresh bed linens. Dust all surfaces, including the TV, remote control, and phone (high-touch points). Restock informational materials and the minibar.
Step 4: Bathroom Finishing & Disinfection
Scrub the soaked bathroom fixtures, rinse them thoroughly, and polish them dry until streak-free. Disinfect the toilet seat. Restock amenities (shampoo, soap, etc.) and fresh towels.
Step 5: Floor Maintenance & Final Inspection
Vacuum or damp-mop from the back of the room toward the door. One last glance back: Is everything perfect? Close the window, use the air freshener, and set the room to “Clean” in the system. The room is now in impeccable condition and ready for immediate occupancy.
